How to choose a queen duvet inner
Pick the season you struggle with most and work from there. Our temperature guide recommends 200 GSM alpaca for summer, 250 to 350 GSM alpaca or 350 to 400 GSM wool for spring and autumn, and 400 to 500 GSM alpaca or 450 to 600 GSM wool for winter. The duvet GSM guide goes deeper.

If you want one inner for most of the year, the 350 GSM alpaca is the all-rounder in a queen. Add a blanket in the depths of winter, or choose the combo so you can button up to 550 GSM when the frosts arrive.
Does a queen duvet fit a queen bed?
A standard New Zealand queen mattress is about 153 x 203 cm. A 210 cm wide inner gives roughly 28 cm of overhang on each side, which is enough for one person or for a couple who sleep close. It is also a generous fit on a double mattress at 137 cm wide, with about 36 cm each side.

Sharing a queen
Two people in a queen bed are close enough to share body heat, which is why couples often run warmer than they expect. The alpaca duvet combo solves this neatly: 200 GSM in summer, 350 in spring and autumn, and both buttoned together for winter. Alpaca or wool for a queen bed?
Wool is the traditional choice. Ours is 100% New Zealand wool, double-washed without harsh chemicals to remove lanolin while keeping its loft. At 500 GSM it is our warmest single inner and weighs about 3.4 kg in queen. Alpaca is semi-hollow and free of lanolin, so it is lighter, warmer for its weight and kind to sensitive skin. The 450 GSM alpaca weighs about 3.0 kg in queen.

Care, delivery and warranty
