If you are looking for bedding in Auckland made by the people who sell it, you have found us. Kiwi Wool makes alpaca and wool duvet inners and pillows at our factory in Mangere, and we sell them direct, online and by arrangement in person.
An Auckland maker since 2002
Our journey began near Auckland more than 22 years ago, inspired by the meadows where New Zealand’s alpaca and sheep graze. Today we are still a family-owned business, and every duvet inner and pillow is made at Unit B, 80 Richard Pearse Drive, Mangere, Auckland 2022.
We card the fibre, quilt it on our single-needle machine and sew the covers on site. You can read more about the process on our made in New Zealand page.

When you visit you can feel the difference between our 200, 350 and 450 GSM alpaca inners and the 500 GSM wool inner, handle the raw fibre, and see the quilting up close. It is the easiest way to settle a question of weight, and our team can talk you through sizes and care at the same time.
Order online, delivered across Auckland and New Zealand
Most of our customers order at kiwiwool.nz. Orders are generally shipped within 5 working days and delivered by Aramex, usually within 7 days across New Zealand. Shipping is free on NZ orders over $150 after discounts, and you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or Afterpay.
Duvet inners and pillows cannot be returned unless faulty, for hygiene reasons, so if you are unsure about a size or weight, call us first. Our duvet size guide and duvet GSM guide are a good place to start.
Which duvet inner suits Auckland’s climate
Auckland summers are humid and winters are damp and often cold indoors. Alpaca and wool suit both, because they breathe and wick moisture away from the body rather than trapping it.
