What we collect
- When you place an order or create an account: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and the details of what you ordered.
- When you contact us through the contact form, email, phone or the website chat: your message and the contact details you give us.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter: your email address.
- When you leave a product review: the name and review text you choose to publish.
- Standard website data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and analytics tools described below.
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment providers, including Stripe, PayPal and Afterpay. Your card details are entered directly with the provider and are encrypted; Kiwi Wool does not receive or store your full card number.
How we use your information
- To process and deliver your order, including sharing your name, address and phone number with our courier (Aramex) so they can deliver it.
- To provide customer service, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep records of your purchases.
- To send you our newsletter if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
- To understand how the website is used and to improve it.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies so the shopping cart and your account work, and to remember your preferences. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising. Our website chat is provided by Tidio and sets its own cookies when you use it. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the store may not work without them.
Sharing your information
We will not collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge and permission, and we will not disclose your personal information to third parties unless you have authorised us to do so or the law requires it. We share information only with the service providers needed to run our store, such as payment processors, our courier, our website host and analytics providers, and only for those purposes. We do not sell your information.
Security
Kiwi Wool uses stringently tested technologies to ensure the security of information transmitted through our website. When you place an order you will see a lock icon in your browser, indicating that the data is encrypted. We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for as long as New Zealand tax and accounting law requires, and account information for as long as your account is active. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
